  • Check windscreen wiper condition
  • Check washer operation

  • Check mirror condition; internal & external
  • Check number plate condition
  • Check shock absorbers
  • Check fuel cap condition
  • Check tyres for even underwear
  • Check distributor cap, rotor and leads (visual)
  • Recommend fuel filter replacement in line with manufacturer's recommendation
  • Check and record brake fluid boiling point
  • Check anti freeze and record strength
  • Check coolant hoses for leaks and condition
  • Check raditor and coolant cap condition
  • Check condition and tension of fan/alternator belt
  • Check tension of all auxiliary drive belts (excluding timing belt)
  • Check electric cooling fan for operation where applicable
  • Check battery levels, terminals and security
  • Check steering/ suspension components for wear corrosion and leaks
  • Grease steering / suspension and prop shaft if applicable
  • Remove wheels and brake drums, clean, check discs / drum for wear, cracks, distortion, corrosion and scoring. (Repeat below)
  • Inspect wheel cylinders / callipers for leaks and operation
  • Check pads / shoes for wear, adjust as required
  • Visually check brake hydraulic system, pipes and hoses for leaks, chafing and corrosion.
  • Check security of handbrake linkages, lubricate and adjust if required
  • Check tyre condition, including spare (Report)
  • Check wheel balance, including spare
  • Check and adjust tyre pressure including spare
  • Check propshaft / drive shaft, joint and gaiters for security and leaks
  • Inspect exhaust system for leaksm security and noise
  • Check for general oil leaks / contamination
  • Check condition of fuel lines
  • Check / top-up gearbox and axle oils
  • Replace oil filter
  • Replace engine oil
  • Replace spark plugs where applicable
  • Replace diesel fuel filter
  • Top up brake / clutch fluid
  • Top up windscreen washer bottles, align if necessary
  • Top up battery, lubricate terminals
  • Adjust fan / alternator belts if required
  • Adjust auxiliary drive belts if required
  • Lubricate throttle linkages
  • Replace air filter
  • Check / top up auto trans fluid where applicable
  • Check/ top up power steering reservoir where applicable
  • Lubricate bonnet catch
  • Lubricate accessible dorr / bonnet hinges
